In 2015, world leaders adopted the 2030 Sustainable Development Goals.

Commonly referred to as the Global Goals, the SDGs have 17 interconnected objectives and their 169 related targets aim to steer guide global development, eliminate human rights violations and ultimately create a fair and prosperous world for both present and future generations.

Target 8.7

Take immediate and effective measures to eradicate forced labour, end modern slavery and human trafficking and secure the prohibition and elimination of the worst forms of child labour, including recruitment and use of child soldiers, and by 2025 end child labour in all its forms.
